Expansion Drive slow but OK on Guest Account

Hi

Seagate Expansion 1TB Drive. Uselessly slow when I am logged in as Administrator, but works perfectly when I am logged in on Guest Account. Any hope of a fix for this please, I am not a computer expert, simple advice would be much appreciated... Thanks...
