Computer Running, But Screen Does Not

Hi everyone. I got this issue about a month or two ago, when my HP Pavilion 2000 suddenly started working. I can see the lights on, but the screen is just blank. I know there are battery issues, but when the screen started being blank, I doubted it. What should I do to solve such problem? Should I just open it and replace the motherboard or check the wires being connected to the screen?

Thanks

20A,

Do you have an external display device that you can connect to the laptop using VGA or HDMI? If the display does not appear on the external monitor, you likely have an issue with the graphics card. However, if the display appears on the monitor, then you likely have a problem with the built-in monitor on your laptop.

Judging by the specs of the HP Pavilion 2000, if you can not get the display to work, I would scrap it, and sell the parts. You could put this cash toward a new PC.
