I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong place to get help with my scan/fax problems but I don't know where else to turn. I recently acquired the Brother MFC-J835DW and connected it to my PC (Dell Inspiron ONE_2020; 4.00 GB (3.90 GB usable) 64-bit operating system). It prints and copies but I can't get it to scan or fax. I have contacted Brother and tried EVERYTHING (the printer software was uninstalled and installed, firewall and anti-virus was disabled, the IP address was checked and rechecked). So, they're saying it's Telus (my anti-virus, telephone and fax provider.
However, when I contact Telus, they tell me that everything is set up correctly on their end and they couldn't do much more as they weren't familiar with my particular AIO device.
Can somebody out there please help? Or maybe point me in the right direction?
Oh ya, the tech at Brother said there must be something wrong with my registry but I dare not touch the registry without help
