Bus-Powered USB HUB is detected as Self-Powered

Hi there,

I have an old Xbox (not 360) controller that I used to play games under Windows XP / Vista. To the system it appears as an Generic USB Hub to which the controller is attached.

The controller itself draws 100mA from the hub.

Now, under Windows XP / Vista the hub appears as Bus-Powered and draws power from the system, but under Windows 7 it appears as a self-powered hub and it doesn't supply power to it

Is there any way I could force Windows 7 to detect it as a bus-powered hub?
