No disk in drive errors

Lately I've been receiving "No Disk" errors when I start up my computer. It appears to be "NoBuClient.exe" and "CCC.exe" that result in the "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\device\harddisk6\dr6" error during startup. "Dropbox.exe" and "Acrobat.exe" have also been noted to give the same "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\device\harddisk6\dr6" upon launch as well.

Is there any way to stop the errors from happening?

Have you scanned your system to check for a virus? Also, check for a malware infection.

I've done a virus scan with Microsoft Security Essentials. No viruses were detected. A malware scan with Malwarebytes gave 1 result -- Funshion. I doubt that it is the one responsible for the error messages since I've had it on both my laptop and desktop and nothing like what I'm experiencing now ever occurred. But I've uninstalled it from my system.

Rebooted and the problem persists.

Try this too http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

- it may be worth checking the driver for that drive too

There is a distinct possibilty the drive might be dead too does it show up in Computer?
