Be Quiet 850 psu upside down?

Hi. I've ordered a Be Quiet Dark Power 850W PSU.

Looking at the reviews again the fan appears to face upward on the unit and it is not clear whether it is intake or exhaust.

I'm going to be putting it in a Cooler Master ATCS 840 so either way it's going to be blowing hot air on the GPU or sucking hot air from it.

Doesn't sound ideal. Should I (can I) mount it upside down?:)

    Hi johnwillyums

If you mount upside down, all screw holes etc will be out of line.

Therefore alot redrilling & filing to do.

Don't think I have ever seen a power supply where the fan blew into the case. As far as the fan facing up or down, all depends on whether it mounts in the top of the case or the bottom of the case.

Thanks to you both for your replies theog and stormy13.
It's going to be bottom mounted and I think you are right stormy. It must be an intake fan.
Theog: Do I have to screw it in?
If it is the case that the fan is on the top of the PSU then I don't think it'd be a good idea to mount it that way as it would be drawing warm air from the GPU.
Also, given this case has negative pressure it would be struggling (as would the GPU fan) to draw air in and both fans would be working hard and competing with each other and getting hot.
Rather than mess about with drills etc could I not secure it with duct tape or something similar?

    Thanks for your help, John:)

Ok. Forget that guys. My case and PSU just arrived and, yes!, it does mount upside down and vent out the back.
Sorry to have wasted your time. I was just seeking reassurance that I hadn't made a purchasing error.
All I need now is for the rest of my components to arrive (different retailer) and the build will continue as planned.
This is my first ever build so I'm scared too death of knackering up some expensive hardware.
I'm keeping a photo record so may post it at some point.

Thanks again for your input, J
