Does your mobile connect by way of usb at all? Do you have an added in SD memory card? On a cell phone with camera here I plug the phone in to be seen as a new storage device and can browse, copy from, copy to the memory card as if it was a usb flash drive with ease.

Any pictures taken would first be viewed and moved from the onboard ram to the card itself where it can readily accessed in a MyImages folder on the SD card. Once done I simply press the right button on the phone to exit the storage device mode leaving the phone to charge or unplug. Your system security will prompt to scan the new device when first plugged in with the correct usb to phone type cable found in accessories at most retail outlets carrying cell phones, smart phones, etc.

You wouldn't need any software or find any as a rule since the phone will be seen much as if it was a usb flash drive especially if you have a separate memory card added in. That will appear as a new drive letter in Computer or when opening up the prompt to view files that appears when first detected. The phone itself is seen as a removable storage device. Likewise if you have a digital camera and plug that in by usb the memory onboard or SD card works like a flash drive as well.

One thing you can do when the phone is plugged in and see a new drive letter to have Windows remember a drive letter of choice is to go into the Disk Management tool and right click on the Removable device volume found to change the drive letter to some other besides the F, H, I, letter that usually appears randomly to something like P for Personal labeling the volume seen as well. Each time you replug the phone in the Personal label will reappear with the exact same drive letter reserved for the phone.

I do that here for drives in external usb enclosures as well as digital cameras and cell phones rather then seeing a random letter used each time. That will keep it simple to find when you want to work with the volume itself for copying to or from.

When first plugging the phone in Windows already has a sound file(wav file) assigned to connected device. When going to unplug the phone you may hear another one if a sound has been assigned for that as well. You can change the sound by simply going into the Control Panel>Sound>Sounds tab and selecting and applying another wav file for this. Here I tend to customize which sound you hear for different functions with some additional wavs collected over time to make it more interesting like a dog barks when a right click menu appears!

(when going to shut the system down you might hear "one minute to auto destruct" borrowed from Star Trek Next Gen.
