USB storage unit (flash) stops windows to start,

USB storage unit (flash) stops windows to start,

In particular cases, if the USB flash is plugged (connected) on the USB port of the computer then the computer is blocked and the windows doesn’t start.

Which setting do we need to adjust to let the windows start regardless whether there is USB flash plugged on the computer or not

    Thank you

If you unplug the usb stick and boot win7 normally it boots fine? Attach usb afterwards. Win7 still works and usb stick is working fine?

Thank you Kaktussoft for the answer.

Sure, if I unplug the flash and restart windows then it goes through fine.

Both the flash and the USB port (of the computer) are good (uncorrupted).

There should be kind of setting that control this behavior!

If you plug in usb flash after booting windows... you can access falsh drive without issues? If so

Enter BIOS and check you "boot device" priority. Give USB a lower priority than harddisk. So it tries to boot from harddisk prior to try to boot from usb. Save it and boot.

    Post results.

Many thanks Kaktussoft! The issue has been resolved at the BIOS level as you have already described

Please, have a look on the attached screenshot
