No USB mouse or keyboard in Windows 7 system repair disk?
Need help with getting a USB mouse or keyboard to work while using a Windows 7 system repair disk. My USB mouse seems to mostly be the problem. The keyboard works most of the time, so why doesn't the USB mouse work? Anyone?

You might double check your BIOS settings to make sure that you have it set to enable "Legacy USB" or any other USB type setting to allow seeing USB devices at boot to see if that may help.
You might also try connecting them to different USB ports.
Thank you Brink for your reply. That has already been checked, and I do have Legacy USB support enabled. The problem, IMHO, lies with the creation of the Windows 7 System Repair disc. The reason I believe this is the problem is that I have a Windows Vista system repair disc and the keyboard and mouse both worked fine. I don't know, maybe I'll just keep searching Google until I find the solution. Anyway thanks again.

Had the same problem with my USB keyboard and mouse, i.e., they didn't work with the Windows 7 system repair disk. The USB's in the back of my PC show as USB3.0 in which I have my keyboard and mouse connected to. Windows PE does not support USB 3.0 at this time.
I connected my keyboard and mouse to the USB's in front of my PC (I assume they are USB2.0 ports) and the system repair disk works great now.
