Hauppage DVB-T stick WMC OK but no composite

Hi all
I have a Hapuppage DVB-T (terrestial digital TV) stick which works fine on Windows 7 RTM X-64 using the Hauppage Wintv package (version 6 or 7 both OK).

However after Sep 30 something in the UK screwed it all up and even after re-tuning I miss a few channels such as ITV3, 5-USA etc .

Strange thing is that using the SAME aerial socket WMC finds ALL the channels with no problem whatsoever -- but the BAD news is that in order to use Composite (I "video send" audio / video from a Satellite box to the composite input on the USB stick WMC is asking for some stinking remote which I don't have.

What is MEGA frustrating about this is that the composite input can be seen in the "Preview" screen when setting up the channels.

So I now have to use 2 different applications in Windows 7 for watching TV (the Hauppage Win Tv for acessing the composite input) while using WMC to watch TV channels that I can't get on the Hauppage system.

(WMC gives me 97 services, whilst WinTV finds 73. Transmitter I'm currently nearest to in the UK is Lincs/ Yorks Belmont).

Grhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! and aren't computers mant to be getting EASIER to use.

I quite like WMC - but why won't it allow composite input WITHOUT a remote -- after all you might want to play stuff from a camcorder / "digitise" old VHS tapes etc etc.

Cheers
jimbo.
