Hey everyone, I would like to say thanks in advance for any help/input into my situation! Ok so heres the deal: My laptop had been a little laggy, on startup, and opening folders, programs etc. I decided to update the bios and amd chipset (chipset update updated my amd graphics stuff, drivers and all). All updates went great, and i noticed that after those updates, especially the chipset update, it had resolved my lag issues. Things seemed to be much quicker. I came across the option to " find and fix problems with devices". I selected the option, im not having any problems with devices, but since i was doing maintenance i figured i would look around for any problems.. :S Anyways the result i got was "Hardware changes might not have been detected. The troubleshooter has made some changes to your system... Since then startup is slower again and the lag seems to be back... So it looks like whatever troubleshooter did changed either something with the amd chipset, or changed the way the os is interacting with amd... And no restore point. I cant believe i forgot to make one.. :S Ive done tons of google searches trying to find out what changes troubleshooter might have made, but to no avail!! Any ideas?
