Seagate "Backup Plus" usb 3 not seen by Win 7 HP 64

Purchased Seagate "Backup Plus" 3TB usb 3 external drives, but they can't been seen by Win 7 64-bit Home Premium. Disconnecting/reconnecting usb and/or power has no effect. Ideas would be appreciated.

By the way, I have no problems with any of the 2 TB drives.

Note: The printed s/n & part no label on the boxes have been covered with a thin white label, but the original data can still be seen. This original data matches the data on the drives themselves, but NOT the data on the store carton. They were purchased at Costco, so the drive boxes are in the center of a huge "fin" of paper all around the drive box itself. I've noticed this mismatch on other Seagate 2TB externals as well.
