Win7 won't recognize CD/DVD drive
I have a Sony/Optiarc 7240S that Windows 7 doesn't seem to like. If I set the SATA controller for AHCI mode, Windows sees the drive and can read from it, but can't burn anything to it. However, with a third party program like ImgBurn, it works fine.
If I set the SATA controller for IDE mode, Windows doesn't see the drive at all. Any ideas? Thanks.
Resolved: Updated SATA driver from motherboard manufacturer fixed it.
