Scanner window from XP -- how to get it on Windows 7?

We got a new Windows 7 Professional desktop. The rest of the hardware is the same as we had before. We're using Cannon MX882 printer/scanner/fax (all-in-one) to scan drivers licenses into our accounting program. On Windows XP when I clicked scan it would open up the window (see attached).

This window would not only crop up the page to the driver's license size for us, it will also let us preview, manually crop, etc.

On this new Windows 7 machine it goes straight into scanning and does a horrible job. It scans only the top right corner of the scanner's bed and misses most of the driver's license. What's worse, the window from XP doesn't come up anymore.

Does anyone know what program do I need to install to get that preview window back?

You could install and try XP mode in W7, and run that program that way.

I can't use XP mode because the scanner needs to interact with our accounting software that runs in Windows 7.

You install the Windows 7 driver for it,

    Canon U.S.A. : Consumer & Home Office : PIXMA MX882

or just let it use the default Windows driver?

Thanks. I already have a default Windows driver but that doesn't work. As for the Canon driver for Windows 7 64-bit, it is so confusing. There are 12 things that that site offers. And which one do I need?
