Take the case side cover off and have a look? If you have a camera, take a picture post it here.

I told you, you have to pop it open and find someone who knows and can tell you if it`s a pci express slot. Take a pic of the board and upload it so we can see it. I can tell just by looking at it.

If none of the specs tell you ( and they don`t, I looked ) then this is how you will find out, but I`ll bet 100 dollars it`s a pci express slot. Like I said wayyyy up there.

AGP? PCi? PCie

Computer Specs Acer Aspire M1935
System Operation FreeDos
Processor Intel Pentium Processor G645

Already Used CPU-Z The Graphic Interface Doesnt Show A Thing
Why do you want to know?

If you wish to upgrade the graphics by adding a discrete card, be warned: the M1935 has a 250W power supply. You won't find an add-in graphics card whose manufacturer would recommend a PSU that limited.

All the Intel Core i-series have integrated graphics controllers. 1st Gen was on die, 2nd & 3rd Gen on chip.
Before the introduction of Intel HD Graphics, Intel integrated graphics were built into the motherboard's northbridge. This included Intel Extreme Graphics and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. As part of the Platform Controller Hub (PCH) design, the northbridge was eliminated and graphics processing was moved to the central processing unit (CPU).

The long blue one with the white locking tab is a PCIe x16, that's the one you would use for a video card. The other three short black slots are PCIe x1 slots, used for wifi cards etc. That white lettering right below the PCIe x16 slot may be the motherboard model number. I can't make it all out from that photo.

To repeat:

The M1935 has a 250W power supply.

That won't support any discrete graphics cards that would be a worthwhile upgrade.

I believe the Intel DG965RY motherboard is the problem as the PSU fan kicks for a second then shuts down. Nothing else seems to be working. I disconnected the 24 pin connector from the motherboard, shorted the off/on to turn the PSU on, then checked voltage on the Antec PSU. The fan now works &...
