Can my PC CPU be upgraded

I have a Gateway GT5668E with a dual core 3.0 Athlon and want to upgrade the CPU to another AMD one. How can I know what my PC can handle? Here are the specs:

    Advice Pro,
I think we need to get to the mobo portion to see what it can accept.

OOPPPS... lol was going by your "My specs" disregard unless you plan on upgrading that one...

So your CPU is Socket S1 so the only thing I can find is the Athlon Neo TF-20 @ 1.6Ghz. A problem you might encounter though is that since this is a Netbook, the CPU might be soldered to the board.

Wihtout finding motherboard specs online, only way to know is to open up the computer and check the cpu. This will require removing the heatsink and stuff like that. If you post the motherboard model, we might be able to find more info, but since its a gateway, I doubt it lol...

Main problem with this socket is that there are hardly any chips for it.... Socket S1 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you do open it up, try this video for guidance (not sure how close it will be to your model)
