I have a hp laptop which has a intell 3000 graphics card and 2nd generation i3 processor. If I play certain games (mass effect 2) fan blows faster and much warmer is blowing out. Is this normal, and will this wear out laptop faster. I have a laptop colling pad, should i use this.
Laptops do tend to get warm thats because there is not much room inside the case unlike a desktop and yes a cooler does help a lot you should use it
It's normal. Intel 3000 is not a graphics card, but an on-chip graphics processor, not really intended for gaming. Working a laptop hard doesn't wear it out, but too much heat can damage it. Yep, sometimes the air coming out my back vents gets pretty warm. A cooling pad wouldn't hurt by any means. Any time you have the gpu and cpu working harder , as in a game, you'll have much more heat. As mentioned, keep an eye on the temps and you should be o.k.
