jumanji, I don't know if it matters but it is a 64B SD Card.

Harvey, I'm sorry but I have told you all that I know to do. In fact, maybe a little more than I know.

Oooops! I overlooked it.

But never mind.

The HP Tool will format SD cards too. ( I checked before posting this with the SD Card in my Sony Card Reader.)

That prompts me to this suggestion.

Download HP USB Disk Storage Format tool v 2.2.3 Download HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool 2.2.3 Free - Windows-based Format Utility for HP Drive Key or DiskOnKey USB Device - Softpedia

Plug in your pendrive, right click on the exe, run it as administrator and if it finds it, try formatting.

If it fails to find/format it, then I would say your pendrive is as dead as a dodo.

Do you find a dodo anywhere?
Gonna try that now.

Blast it all ! ! ! Looks like I'll have to add it to the scrap pile. Sadly no tool mentioned here worked. I guess I'll have to say bye-bye to this 16 GB beauty. Had it for 3 years now. It came with my Samsung Epic 4G. All things considered, we had a good run. Got a new 32 GB coming in the mail though. Thanks guys.

Harvey, sorry we couldn't help you, but as they say, all good things must come to an end. We have some real experts on this site, but I'm afraid none of them can raise the dead. I wish they could, I could have used them myself a few times.
