Win Crashes WHen Using Printer

Win 7 Home Deluxe
HP 6700 Printer

When I printed a test page I got the blue screen of death and the computer shut down before I could note the problem printed at the bottom of the blue screen. Any clues or starting point to resolve the problem, please? I'm not a sophisticated computer guru.

That's not enough info to get you an answer.

Firstly, fill in all your specs.

If you shut down the printer, is your Windows functioning perfectly otherwise?

The only other problem is that the blue circle adjacent to the wireless Logitech M305 wireless mouse pointer is flashing onstantly whether the mouse is being moved or not.
