"No program associated with file" error

So, I have been reading in another post, the issues with "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action". I have the same thing, but it only happens when the external My Book storage drive comes on. This has been happening for a while. I have looked at and tried SevenForums.com tutorial 78815, but that does not seem to be fixing the issue. It only happens when the drive spins up after being dormant or on a cold start up, but does not affect anything on the drive, as far as I can tell. For some reason, the drive is set to go into "Auto-play" and then the error pops up. I have tried switching from USB to Firewire, but it still does the same. If I can remember where to access the shut-off for Auto Play, that would be great, but, alas, my age is catching up with me and I am beginning to forget things. I think that if I can disable the autoplay for this drive, I may be able to fix the issue. Once again, any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.

I found where the autoplay function was and disabled it. Now I don't have that irritating error message anymore. Case solved.
