Reporting 4 mem banks but can only find 2

Hi guys, I have an Acer Aspire 5750 and cpuz and system information viewer x64 both say i have 4 memory banks but i can only find 2. I looked everywhere on the net and everything says only 2 banks but the specs also say only 8gb max, but sivx64 says 16gb. Acer website doesnt even have this model on the website anymore, i bought it used and it is about 2 half / 3 years old model. If anybody knows where the other banks are hiding or if cpuz and sivx64 is wrong any help would be great.

Take the keyboard off, sometimes laptops hold some extra slots there.

Edit. A quick google only shows the slots underneath.

Crucial thinks it only has 2:

Computer memory upgrades for Acer Aspire 5750 Laptop/Notebook from Crucial.com

It may be something as simple as the CPU & chipset being capable of operating 4 DIMM slots, but that only two were actually installed on the motherboard.

What are banks for?
This was posted on another forum I frequent and liked it so much I thought I'd share it with you lot here. Hopefully this may be an eye-opener for anyone who is unsure how the banking industry works. “Punch,” April 3, 1957: Q: What are banks for? A: To make money. Q: For the customers?
