My PC keeps doing system restore on its own

    hi,

i am using a hp envy beatsaudio windows 7 prenium 64bit.
my laptop is about 3 months old.
i havent been able to download any program on my pc.
after i download any thing, when i put on my laptop it shows a blue screen(something about 'dumping' and harddrive), then gives me an option to start windows normally or to do a system restore.starting windows normally never works so i have to eventually choose system restore.
when its done after several minutes, and everything is back to normal i always discover that the last program or application i downloaded has been removed.e.g itunes, virtual dj, Nonoh..

sometimes even without downloading anything it does this, but in this case it removes nothing.
i dont know what to do. and i fear its affecting the harddrive

this is the only issue i have with this laptop.
at first i thought it did that because it was still installing Microsoft but even after that no change.

any help will be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

I'm assuming you already ran virus and malware scans? If not do that first, a good deep scan with your anti-virus and a run or two with your malware scanner of choice. I recommend Malwarebytes and Superantispyware, but the choice is yours. After you've done that, or if you already have, try running a sfc/scannow system file check to look for and repair any corrupted system files. We have many excellent tutorials here, written by some very knowledgeable people, just click on the link for it : SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Below is a screen shot of the error message,I hope you can view it.
Yesterday I restored my system to factory settings after which I installed AVG antivirus , afterwords I did a first system scan and all was clear.
Next I downloaded google chrome and VLC player thats all.worked online for a few hours and then I shut down.
I put on my system today and I'm back to zero..I am frustrated
It removed google chrome and VLC after the system restore.. Am I downloading a version that's not compartible or something ...helllpppp

    Looks like a driver problem.

    Hard to tell which one.

If you can post the dump file on the bsod thread - someone there will probably find out.

Meantime, you could try replacing your wifi drivers make sure you have the latest version - just in case.

You might run windows update and see if it offers you any drivers.
