'Missing' files on external hard drive
not sure I am posting in right place but need some ideas or suggestions to a problem I have.
I am currently using three external seagate go flex hard drives that have all been Fat32 formatted. I used fat 32 so all files would be playable on my PS3 and Samsung TV when hard drives are not connected to my laptop for viewing.
Even though two hard drives have the same files on (one is a master and the other is a back up) when I plug them into my TV/dvd player or PS3 neither drive shows the same files so wondering if they both have bad sectors due to incorrect dismounting possibly?
I have gone into the organize pane and made sure all files and folders are unhidden but this has made no difference so I'm at a total loss now about that could be causing the issue. I have a 32 and 64GB Verbatim USB sticks that shows the 'hidden' files so wondering if I need to reformat all drives again and put data back onto drives again one done maybe?
Thanks for any response and help in advance
