    Mate just go the new drive and an OEM7 if the owner wants it bad enough then he is getting good value for the $170 plus whatever you charge him / her.
    (thats my pricing out here for gear alone I never charge it's usually for workmates worse off than myself or friends in a spot)

    At the moment raiden you are chasing your tail mate so just ask them what they want to do. I mean they might even opt for a new machine instead.
