Reinstalled 7, now having webcam issues.

I reinstalled 7 pro about a month ago on my laptop, and am now having webcam issues. My webcam is an HP TrueVision HD, and should be compensating for changes in lighting... but it's not. And it's also choppy all the time. So if I go outside, the image is white. if I'm in doors in lower lighting, it's simply dark. Is there any way to fix this?

Most OEM computers come with programs for their web cams. Have you gone to HP's web site and downloaded the newest drivers and utilities for it? You may also find the program for your web cam that came with the laptop.

Like essenbe said, look at the manufacturers website for the program and/or driver for your specific model and see if that helps.

I'm running the same drive that I have in the past and no updates are available for it.
