Black Screen After BIOS

After the BIOS screen on my laptop, the screen just goes black for a good minute. Any causes of this, it usually starts in 32 seconds, but now it takes a decade.

Go to your BIOS and make sure "quick boot" (or similar) is enabled or just try resetting to the default values.

I read that that disables the BIOS screen, Im not sure that'd be a good idea.

Asus BIOS(2 seconds)
then
Windows Logo(10 or so seconds)
then
Abnormal Black Screen(30-45 seconds)
then
Normal Desktop screen.

Quick boot simply does not display POST details onscreen helping to reduce boot time it is ok to enable that. You can still access the bios using the relevant key combination.

Try running startup repair by pressing F8 at boot time and choosing startup repair if a pre-installed OS that came with the laptop or use the guide below if from a actual MS windows 7 disc:

Nope, startup repair did nothing. Maybe the SSD is dying, could that be the issue?

Many long Post conditions are caused by incorrect drivers.

When I have quick boot disabled, I get a similar 30-40 second delay that's why I asked to check.

I just looked in the bios again and I cn find no option to enable or disable quick boot. Any ideas what tab it is under?

It's not necessary that the name of the option is "quick boot" in your case, it could be something else, just try to find some option that has a similar name. Post here so that we can confirm.
