    Extended partition showing incorrect free space


    Hello to all members of this comunity, i hate to use my first post to request help but i need your help, sorry for bad english and i dont know where to put my post so i choose this section...sorry if it's wrong

    well the problem is that i have a partition for random stuff like movies, images, etc... and it shows incorrect use of space i cleaned almost all my unused stuff and i dont know what is wrong with this partition, I did a registry clean and checked if have the system protection but none of those helped me, what could be wrong?




    And this is all the partition have inside and i checked the option for hidden files in control panel, there is no files in trashcan, in resume I'm using onle 140gb at max and windows says i'm using 201gb

    What size is the hard drive? I'm assuming it's not 350GB?

    Can you post a screenshot of the Disk Management window? Expand it so we can see everything.

    From the piechart, blue area is the usage, red area is the free space. usage : 201gb , free space : 140gb. When you look at the size of that folder it said 137gb, now notice that this is only the data inside the folder and not including windows system files and settings. So I suppose when combined with all system files, it is 201gb.
    But another scenario is that sometimes there are space in the harddrive which is unallocated, and your active partition may use less space than total. From control panel, go to administrative tools, computer management, then to disk management. here you can have a thorough view of all your hard drive partitions.
