Cisco AM10 not recognized as wireless device with Win7 Ultimate
I have two USB Cisco AM10 Valet wireless adapters. Windows 7 Ultimate will not recognize them as
anything but USB storage devices. When I run the install program, it says to plug the device into a
USB port. It does nothing for a few minutes and the same thing comes up again, it wants the device
plugged in again. Cisco has been no help. Someone on their forums says to format it.
The motherboard is MSI with Realtek on board controller.
These have worked in the past but were losing connection after the computer was restarted. Now they
do nothing. Any help greatly appreciated. I'm back to using an old Belkin G adapter for now.
