Windows 7: SSD (Boot system) Drive sometimes not recognised on boot

Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64-bit SP1 (Build 7601)

I have just ran the update to the firmware.

Strangely, the Windows 7 updater does not detect that my drive needs an update.

I created a boot disk with the ISO provided by Crucial, and that installed perfectly.

I rebooted 3 times in a row, and it booted up with no issue. I will let you know if it fails to load up again, but for now, it seems to be corrected.

Thank you everyone for your help!

I really wonder whether the firmware will make a difference. My M4 is still on 0309 which is really old and never gave me a problem.
