Lightscribe Template Labeler can't find a lightscribe drive

I'm using an Asus BW-12B1ST Blu-ray Writer in a Windows 7 64-bit computer. The BW-12B1ST specs say it supports Lightscribe. All of the necessary Lightscribe software has been installed.
When I use either Lightscribe Template Labeler or Roxio Creator software it says it can't find a Lightscribe drive.

Just curious, is there a lightscribe emblem on the front of the drive?

What specs are you looking at? I can't seem to find that model listing lightscribe in the specs.

You could try their diagnostic tool.

I can find no evidence that the Asus BW-12B1ST supports Lightscribe.

The Asus BW-12B1LT is a Lightscribe model.

I ran into that with Samsung drives. I bought 5 of them in the last few years, and one wasn't LightScribe enabled. I didn't realize it at first, but sure enough, there was no label on the drive bezel.
