    There is no quick fix that I would recommend.
    Just this:

    I have a very similar problem, the only difference being that the backlight does come on for a short amount of time (until the end of the windows initialising screen) which makes me think that it is not the fuse/cb which is the problem. Is there anything else, maybe driver problems, that could cause this?

    It sounds like it is the graphics driver that initializes in Windows.

    Can you go into the BIOS settings? This would be to see if the screen stays on for a while. It will determine that it is definitely a problem in Windows.
