System drive letter changed to E, and windows no longer loads
The system`s drive c: was mistakenly changed to e:
Now the pc thinks windows in e: and can`t access the file while loading.
My question is, how to change the drive letter of the system drive externally, from boot or something.
I wan`t the pc tp realize, that it`s not E: but C:
[ Now if you want to know how did it start:
I have two HDs. On one win 7, on the other win XP.
The XP`s HD is disconnected while win 7 is on, then the PC loads just with the win 7 and it`s big HD.
Now when I want to connect the XP, I plug it in and that HD becomes the master and the big HD becomes just a storage one.
After running a game from the XP, that was installed on the win 7 system, the win 7 didn`t load.
It gives an error message that something wasn`t found. The the options are to Continue or restart. If continue : it gives the various safemode options, none of which work.
When I ran the win 7 cd to repair, I saw that the C: drive was actually assigned letter E:
I assume it`s because the smaller HD has two drives, and then the win 7 system becomes E:
But it was always annulated after disconnecting the XP drive. ]
Appreciate any help
