yes. it was showing as I: drive. and i apologize for not seeing this before, but it shows in my computer, however, it's grayed out under Devices with Removable storage and when i click on it it asks "please insert a disk into drive I:"....i did change the drive letter to K: and same result, so i changed it back.

Is there files inside ? You could open up the drive in Diskpart .

Click on the type CMD inside the command prompt right click on CMD under Programs (1) choose Run as administrator . If you get the user access control window click on the yes button . Pic below

Inside the command prompt . Type the commands below and press <ENTER> after each command .

Code:
DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK #
CLEAN
FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK
ASSIGN
EXIT
EXIT
Note   Note

# is the number of the hard drive . Disk 0 is the first hard drive .
Assign command assigns a drive letter if you want to assign a letter yourself type in this command ASSIGN LETTER=[input letter here ] without the brackets

What exactly is ReadyBoost, and do I need it? Also, I want to format the flash drive from FAT32 to NTFS. Apparently, the default allocation unit for NTFS is 4096 bytes. Do I accept this, or should I change it (see attached png)? And if I reformat from FAT32 to NTFS, will I be deleting the...
