Generic Bluetooth Adapter causes Media Center issues

Just wanted to point out the solution to a problem I was having with Media Center after connecting a cheap Bluetooth dongle.

Playback in recorded and live TV was dropping audio for 15-20 seconds at a time every 60 seconds or so, and video would freeze for a couple of seconds during the audio dropouts.

Turns out the USB ports on the front of my Shuttle SP35P2 Pro system are a little flaky. Maybe they only run at USB 1.1 speeds and the Bluetooth dongle wants 2.0.

Took me a while to track it down to the Bluetooth adapter, but after moving it to a free USB port on a USB 2.0 hub, the problem was gone.

Just thought I'd put that tidbit out there in case anyone runs into a similar problem.
