Windows 7: USB Drives not being given Drive letter in My Computer

Hi I am hoping somebody here can give me a solution, I am pulling my hair out here. I have an external USB hub and a Buffalo External Drive connected to the PC which show in device manager fine as in attached Device Manager image. Problem is there is no drive letter assigned to the buffalo in explorer or computer management but has a "d" drive assigned to the hub in computer management only.
When I try to change the drive for the hub to another letter for example P, it does the change but still doesnt show in explorer or My computer. Also when i try to convert to dynamic disc on the buffalo drive i get a "Not supported error" I really do not want to format this drive as it has 350GB of info on it and I cant transfer the contents as my drives will not show up to do it (LOL)
I've set the bios on the motherboard to system defaults still nothing.
Strange thing is all the drives work fine if i boot to Vista x64.



Any help guys?
