I have two 3GB DRR3 sticks.
I have never seen or heard of a 3GB stick of RAM. Has anyone else?

Indeed I do have two 3GB DDR3 sticks of RAM. I would much prefer one 4GB and one 2GB stick of RAM, for a easier and cheaper upgrade.

It has been confirmed that 8GB is the maximum amount of physical memory I can install, correct?

Another quick question, it is recommended to have two have the same brands for RAM, or is that irrelevant?

Yes it is always recommended for all sticks of ram in a PC to be identical model and brand. Mixing ram most often works but it can be problematic.

3GB single stick memory????
I have never seen an odd number stick
it's supposed to be based on multiples of x2 based on 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 512, 1020, 2040, 4080, 8160 ect. ect.
I would like to know what brand and serial it is just for research. I believe it to be a mislabel or some conspiracy

I'll pull one out tonight after work, take a picture of it and post the details. I'm sure I got 2x 3GB DDR3 RAM sticks. Need to clean my computer any ways, that's long overdue!

My appologies, I do have a one 2GB DDR3 and one 4GB DDR3 sticks of RAM. Good news, that's a better convenience for an upgrade.

I have one: Super Talent WA133UB4G9 - and I will be ordering another to increase my RAM by 2GB and to match my current one. EDIT: Ordered

Thanks everyone again for all the replies!
