Mouse accuracy and Intellipoint’s Precision Booster

I have an A4 tech X6-80D and i draw in Autocad and i have some accuracy issues when i zoom in a lot. The mouse pointer moves in intervals of around 10 (autocad) units which makes life a lot more difficult. I don't know if there are any settings in autocad that can fix that, so any info on that would be great.

I started this thread with question on Microsoft’s IntelliPoint software

I can not comprehend which one of those programs i need to install. I don't know in which category my mouse is, it's a USB optical so it can be a "Basic Optical Mouse" or a "Optical Mouse 100" or any one of the dozen other types.
I don't know if that's even going to help but it's worth a try.

Look on the bottom of the Mouse and it should have a label telling you what model it is; also download the latest (and, greatest) drivers for the mouse (Microsoft's IntellinPoint software). Once you have those two things you should be able to do what you are looking for (sometime, don't want to commit). . .Good Luck. . .

That's the thing - on the bottom it says X6-80D and i don't see how i connect this to the many types of IntellinPoint software

Maybe and maybe not. Many Vista drivers work well with Windows 7.
If it was my computer I would just get a new mouse that was made to be used with Windows 7 and work from there.

I understand, though that's not my original question. I wanted to find out which of Microsoft’s IntelliPoint software corresponds to which model type. I gave my situation as an example but let's forget about that. Let's say i have this mouse - Dynex™ - Optical Mouse - DX-WMSE2

Or any mouse for that matter. Which of the Intellipoint programs i should install?

I don't see your mouse on Microsofts list.

I'm unable to find a program or a driver for that mouse. Has Windows Updates offered a driver update for your mouse?

On my computers I can just Go to Start Orb and type in mouse and it will show a program if their is one.
