EPSON Dx8400 compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium ?

I have a new computer from Mesh (Elite 3470 Intel Core Quad Core Processor 64 bit. I have been using an EPSON Colour Printer DX8400. Can anyone tell me whether or not it is possible to link this device to the computer or will I have to buy a new colour printer ?

Thanks. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for reply. I have checked the site and can see now that it should be possible to link them but it is not happening. I have checked the device is linked by USB to the new computer and put in our EPSON DX8400 disc but the computer directs me to download the info on the disc from the "correct" drive. Initially it says A drive but it wants more info. Opening the drive and trying the alternatives in the drop down menu doesn`t either. Beyond that. I don`t know what I am looking for so "Browse" doesn`t help.

The discs that come with hardware are usually outdated by the time you get the product. Download the latest drivers from Epson and use those.

I had a problem avoiding downloading Driver Download programmes but using Pebbly1s link (Drivers & Support - Epson Stylus DX8400 - Epson) managed to do it in the end. Many thanks. Printer now up and running.

Glad we were able to help you Windymiller, Epsons are normally (in my experience ) trouble free to install as long as you use the latest drivers for the OS you are currently using
