Display issue over VGA with AMD A8-5600K APU new build!

This is a new system built yesterday with the following specs:

asus fm2 mobo
amd a8-5600k
8gb mushkin blackline
1tb caviar blue

after install of win 7 with the default vga driver the output fills my monitor, after installing the amd drivers from my driver disk or straight from amd the computer outputs a standard res to my monitor but it is distorted with a 3 inch black bar on the left side and a 1/2 inch bar on the right but it is filled vertically. it is not overscan as that is only supported by digital connections, not vga. I have tried to connect it through hdmi and it works perfect. im just not sure what is causing the issue with vga.

any input would be awesome because im bashing my head against the wall right now.

With the default windows driver the resolution is correct and the monitor is filled, will the proper drivers installed from amd via the autodetect and download tool the above described problem presents.

id stick with the default driver but hdmi does not work with it.....

You mentioned "overscan" -- are you trying to use a TV monitor?

Display Issue
My screen is 1920 x 1080, however the text and window size is very small. Adjusting the text size makes everything disproportional, adjusting the resolution makes everything blurry. I can't seem to win. What can I do to make everything a bit bigger and NOT blurry? Any suggestions?

Display Issue for Games
After trying a few games (Warcraft 3, CnC Generals), I see that 7 takes into account widescreen resolutions for games that don't support them. It will black out the pixels it doesn't use so it's still fullscreen and doesn't stretch the picture out. But after running the graphics config for Dawn of...

Display Issue
Whenever I turn on my computer, the windows logo shows up, but after that, the screen stays dark. If I put the computer to sleep with the keyboard and wake it up again, it goes right to the welcome screen. I have XP installed on the same computer, and this problem never occurs when using it. Any...

Display problem with W7 Build 7100.
Okay this is weird. I was using Windows 7 build 7068 or something before and I didn't have the following problem: Problem: I have 2 CRT monitors, one displays 1280x1024 default at 85 Hz, the other displays 1600x1200 (which I do not like) when W7 is installed. So I decided to switch to...
