In the UK where can i get my motherboard repaired?

I'm wondering if theres a place i could ship it to or shops that repair hardware, i basically have a really expensive motherboard (bought for £400) and the pins that connect to the processor are bent, this renders the board useless and i don't like the board itself, i feel dumb for buying it and want to get it fixed and then later i could sell it, could someone recommend a shop or website which could lead me to getting the board repaired, or are the pins way too small to repair, the socket is LGA2011 if you need to know.

And why the hell do they make expensive hardware so easy to break?

You can bend them back yourself actually. You just have to be careful and gentle. That way, you won't have to spend any money having some repair shop do it.

I would need the right tools, magnifying glass and a pair of tweezers? there is a bunch of the pins that are broken, way too much for me to repair

In bigger cities like Manchester there are loads of small "Computer shops / Phone Unlocking service places" that might do this type of repair -- depends on wht's broken.

IMO it's probably better to get a completely new MOBO -- I don't think that the MOBO itself would cost a huge amount of money.

Trying to repair those pins might cause damage to much more expensive parts like the CPU for example. This is one case where I would suggest your old MOBO takes a one way trip to the Bin.

You probably now could find an equivalent board for a lot less than 400 GBP -- seems very expensive for a base MOBO without memory and CPU. A new MOBO will take your current memory and CPU anyway.

Well, I already got a £150 Motherboard which i am WAY more pleased with than this crap, This old motherboard was still quiet expensive and is just slightly over a year old, and it is quiet at high on the charts and I'm sure i could make some money off it. I might look for some computer repair shops.
And of the CPU damage, well, thats a problem to the one using it, not me :) shhh!

Buying USED computer gear is never a good idea anyway -- I don't think you'll have a lot of luck in selling that old MOBO. Anybody with the slightest bit of nouse about computers wouldn't even THINK of looking at that type of board any more I'm afraid. You'd have better luck flogging it at a Car boot sale and then disappearing quickly. !!

With the prices of NEW kit essentially at rock bottom (even a 1TB disk now costs as little as 45 GBP / 50 or so EUR) now who would BOTHER with used gear especially when it's "provenance" is dubious to say the least.

The only time used gear could be interesting is say you want to try running some really old gear like an old paper tape "Flexo writer" or some old mainframe type tape decks etc in some sort of Computer museum.
