Building a Gaming PC, is this good?

Hey guys,

I was planning on building a new computer next month, the computer will be used primarily for gaming. My goal is to achieve running the latest games on 1920x1080 maximum settings (anti-aliasing not a necessity, I think). To achieve this, I would need some help from the experts of SevenForums, so here's my current custom build I setup:




Any improvements I can make? My budget will around €1400/$1700 - but the less the build will cost the better! Please no AMD/ATI cards, I don't like those due to personal reasons. Also, I would like to note that I'm from Holland so no things like special promotions from NewEgg or whatever. Thanks for your help!

EDIT: If an alternative motherboard would be picked, please one with an integrated Wi-Fi adapter or one that can carry a PCI Wi-Fi adapter. Thanks!

The only suggestion I might make is to see what the new GTX 760ti is like. I know the 780 was released a week or so back and the 770 a few days ago and if the performance of these 2 is anything to go by then I expect the 760 to be a great card.
I am not exactly sure on the release date, but I don't think it will be too far away now.

Thanks for the compliment! Do you have any idea on how expensive the GTX 760 TI would be? I will be ordering next month, so there's room to wait for the release.

EDIT: I checked it out and it seems according to Google that the GTX 660 Ti would be on par with the GTX 760 Ti when being overclocked. Would it still be a necessity?

Will you be overclocking at all? I mean if not, then you be able to get one of the CPUs that is not a "K" series, and you would be able to get a good H77 motherboard and you would be able to stay with Intel's stock cooling.

Yes, I'm planning to overclock the i5-3570k up to around 4.3GHz or something like that. I've never overclocked before though, so I better be prepared.

You should be able to get 4.5 GHz with this build.

You should be able to get 4.5 GHz with this build.

Really? That's great to hear! I hope I won't fry my CPU while trying to overclock, though. :)

If you decide against one of the new 700 series Nvidia cards, I would replace the 660Ti with the GTX 670 for about $20 more. Also, like others said, Haswell is out and might be the best option.

I have one of the i5-3570K's and I'm running @ 4.5GHz without breaking a sweat.
