turns out my hdd works out just fine on Mac OS (read only). Still doesn't work on my windows 7 laptop.

When did you update your first post?

Whatever you wanted to say you should have said in a new post instead of deleting the original content and putting your "new finding" there, that would make us look like all fools here.

And that brings the importance of giving full history when you define your problem. I have already wasted my time here on this thread and now done with it.

I apologize you feel like fool. However, I did not delete the original content of my thread(just rephrased the thread title + included an update in red font). I totally understand the importance of giving the full history which is why I did not create a new thread. Hoping anyone can offer some help, because there isn't on google.

I'm not sure which content is missing, but if there is....i am not the reason why any of the original content is missing
