Need New Lappie

Guys, I know zilch about Laptops. I found one at new egg and wonder what the opinions on it are.

MSI GT Series GT70 0ND-491US Notebook Intel Core i7 3630QM(2.40GHz) 17.3" 16GB Memory DDR3 1600 128GB SSD 750GB HDD 7200rpm BD Burner NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX - Newegg.com

Oh yes, does it have WIFi and is Windows 7 64 bit drivers available? It comes with Win8.

It really depends on what you plan on doing with the laptop.

It mentions the WiFi type and brand in the description, but it isn't one I've ever heard of. You'll have to check MSI's site for specific drivers, but there's nothing wrong with Windows 8. If you had 7 already, I wouldn't tell you to go buy 8, but if you have 8 already, I wouldn't tell you to go buy 7, either.

I have researched MSI laptops when I was shopping for my new lappy. I ended up going the other way and getting a base model i3 as it was for 90% work. I was impressed with the MSI's also the ASUS lappy's. This appears to be a very powerful lappy and for this kind of money I'm sure lots of options are available. Key will be what exactly are you going to be doing with the rig as mentioned above. I do like the two ssd's in raid plus the spinner !

You're Welcome, that is a good buy on that laptop with them specs. Where I bought my laptop that Gt70 would run about $2000.00 with them specs.
