May I assume you're using wi-fi?
Do you keep any type of cell phone near the computer?
Do you know if any of your neighbors are HAM operators?

lol its funny but l thought l was replying to my other topic.. but lve not actually heard it in a while tho l do occasionally get the sound that there is a problem with a device when its detected properly.. but l guess l'll be reinstalling some point over the next 6 months (maybe sooner, lm living with my few niggles generally.. lm thinking a refresh might make some difference.. its funny considering lve only had problems since l got faster internet lol)

You may laugh, and that's okay...when we upgraded to Fios with wi-fi the only way I could stop our speakers from making odd sounds was to put a piece of aluminum foil over the speaker closest to the router.

We have 25down and 5up, but it seems faster. We could go quantum 50/25 for an extra 10bucks a month, but we're happy with what we have.

I remember those old dial-up days, juno would shut me down just doing windows updates.

heh, for a tenner more l could go up to 50/20 but lm happy with what l got.. thank god l never went back to dialup tho but it was hard to go back to a 1meg after being on a 8meg.. but thankfully they installed fibre in the area meaning l was one of the first to get mine installed lol.

That's about the same thing that happened to us, fiber ran down the main highway for five years before they put a branch line down our road.
