Devices and Printers not displaying correct icons...etc

I have a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit Edition....after installing everything and running Windows Update over and over until everything was installed, I opened Devices and Printers, it asked me if I wanted Windows to download driver software and realistic icons for my devices....I chose Yes, do this automatically which was recommended. After doing this and rebooting from all of the Windows Updates installing earlier, it displayed incorrect icons and even renamed the model of my computer from a tower computer to a laptop computer...the icon changed to a laptop icon. My computer is definitely a tower computer. Dell XPS 420. Is there a way to change this back to what it was?

I don't know, but it's harmless. This part of Windows has never worked perfectly for me either, and I built my own computer. So, it's just free entertainment provided by Microsoft.

    Hi garris99,

Different icon displayed in Devices and Printer would not affect the functionality of the system. However, if you wish to change the icon there then you can check out this tutorial below which would be helpful for you:

Devices and Printers - Change Device Icons with Custom Icons

You can have custom icons as well. Hope it helps.
