You don't need an 800+ watt PSU, at all. Save some money and use it for something you really need, like an SSD in that system. A good 650W PSU would be more than enough for your system and the money saved can be used for other things.

Here is a really solid PSU that is built right, and fully modular. It's a little pricey, but can be found on sale for less than $100 fairly often: SeaSonic X650 Gold

TwoCables i am not saying that in a way of being mean or anything, Its just with HDDs and 10 fans with fan controller and maybe in future even better GPU i might even go for a 760 i am not sure yet, its just alot of people are telling me that its going to be suicide if i go for anything lower than 600 i have had friends make same mistakes but i am taking your information into consideration, i am just a bit scared of putting a 550 watt PSU into that type of rig...

Andrew

Components are less demanding than they used to be. Also, your friends that "made the same mistake" probably bought mediocre PSU's at best. A good quality 600W PSU will last longer and perform better than a 800W PSU that is garbage.......Fact

But most people don't know much about PSUs and power consumption at all.

Not all PSUs are the same. The kind of 550W PSU I'm talking about is the kind that can easily deliver 550W 24/7 if it's ever needed.

This isn't strictly about wattage.

Btw: I sent you a PM.

No, that's not the same. It's actually not as good as it looks either.

Can you order from Scan.co.uk or Overclockers.co.uk? Their PSU selection is better than Alternate.
