    What is the difference


    What is the difference of WD Book Essential , WD Book Element, and WD Book Studio?
    Unfortunately all of salespeople who work in PC World, Curry, or Maplin do not know?
    Do you the differences?

    My Book Studio is a Mac designed drive which I have two and are easliy converted for PC use it has 4 input types.
    Element is a more simple external PC drive features only USB 2.0 input.
    Essential has 3.0 and 2.0 input connectivity.

    WD Book Studio (Basic for Mac external HDD) -
    Metal case
    USB2 & USB3.
    Formatted for Mac use.
    Added software for backup, password protection/Encryption.

    WD Book Studio II (Standard for Mac external HDD) -
    Plastic case (user servicable)
    USB2 only, Firewire & eSata
    RAID 0/1 config.
    Formatted for Mac use.
    Added software for backup, password protection/Encryption.
