    USB and SM Controller Problems

In my Device Management, there is a yellow warning about these 2 devices, I don't know what could have caused this or nothing, if a driver update is needed or anything and have a feeling it may be a cause of the slow performance issues that has been happing recently.

I tried Updating Driver Software, nothing was found. And after Disabling or Uninstalling the drivers, after a reboot they would return, still with the error.

Those items are part of the basic chipset on the motherboard.
Is this a new build or old build? Very important info in these kinds of cases.

Either the chipset driver is not installed, the wrong driver was installed, the driver files have been/were corrupted, or there are defective components on the MB. (you know that)

I also read in a past post of SevenForums that those devices can be associated with the graphics driver too. (If this is a new build, be sure to install all the needed drivers.)
But if true, that makes me think that a problem with a recent graphics driver install could affect them. (in the case of an old build)

It is an old build, but I have reinstalled the Operating System before it was working fine.

I tried installing the latest graphics driver too.

Can you think of any changes you've made to the system or software during the period of time that this problem likely surfaced?

    Hi Infinite,

According to the screenshot it seems chipset driver is not installed on the system. I believe it is a custom build system you have and you should check your motherboard manufacturer website for the compatible drivers.

Also, right click on both the drivers with the yellow mark one by one. Select properties>details>select Hardware id.

It should display something like PCI_**** & VEN_***** . Please copy paste that complete code so we can try and search for the drivers required for your system.

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.
