    P8Z77-v Mobo Question

I've got the above MOBO and the specs show 4 6gb ports, but I only see 2 ( gray) and in BIOS it also shows as 2.

Asus support says there are 4.

Are you certain that your motherboard is not the AsusP8Z77-V LX or AsusP8Z77-V Deluxe versions as they both have only 2 6gb grey ports?

You can use Speccy to be sure:

No, it's the P8z77-v and shows 4 6gb ports in specs.

I see it shows 2 6gb ports on some specs and 4 6gb ports on the pic I posted.
Also, Asus said there are 4.

    Really confusing.

I would just go with what you can physically see :)

If the LX and Deluxe only have 2 ports, then it stands to reason your wont have more than that.

    Also, Asus confirmed it.

Are there 2 SATA III ports controlled by Asmedia or another 3rd party chipset? Do you not have 4 banks of SATA ports on your board? If so, the dark blue and grey should be SATA III
