I can not connect Bluetooth devices.

I have a Medialink Bluetooth dongle that I am unable to get to work with all my bluetooth devices. I have the drivers installed and everything seems as if it should be functioning properly. However, I am not able to pair my two Android devices or my Turtle Beach PX5 headset. I was able to connect with my printer so I'm sure the device itself is working properly. I'm just not sure what I am doing wrong with my other devices. Thanks for the help.

Also, when I go the Bluetooth menu and click "Open Settings" nothing opens. What's causing that?

    Do the following:

Go to Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Devices and Printers

Now you should see the bluetooth radio icon. Right Click on the icon and select buetooth settings.

If that does not load click on trobleshooting.

    Post what happens.

When I click "View Devices and Printers" it again does nothing. The address bar starts turning green, as if loading something, but nothing ever happens.

Try this, Control Panel|Device manager, and see if it listed there. If so, right click it, Update Driver, Automatic.

Under bluetooth radios I have, Broadcom BCM2070 Bluetooth 3.0 USB Device. When I click update/automatic it says my device driver is up to date.

I also found this on Turtle Beaches website:

To use the PX5’s microphone with your PC, you need to enable and pair (sync) the PX5’s bluetooth to your PC’s bluetooth interface.

    - Your PC must have a properly installed Bluetooth interface, typically in the form of a USB Bluetooth adapter. Many laptops already have built-in Bluetooth.
    - Pair your PX5 to the PC's Bluetooth interface (instructions for pairing the PX5 bluetooth are in the PX5 User's Guide).
    - Set your Bluetooth interface as the default recording device by going to your Sound settings under the Control Panel. Consult your Windows manual/user guide for detailed instructions.
    - If you are using Ventrilo for online chat, make sure Ventrilo is set to use the PC's Bluetooth interface for its Voice Audio input AND output.

NOTE: The PX5 does not require a device driver for use in Windows or MacOS X. The PC will not "see" the PX5 in its list of connected devices.

I was still unable to pair using these instructions, and I have no Bluetooth Interface as a recording device option. I do find it interesting that, ""The PC will not "see" the PX5 in its list of connected devices."" What's that about?

Well....are the Androids (cell phones?) and headset compatible with a PC connection? I was just checking out bluetooth head sets and they were only for iPods and such.

Ooops, you type faster than me. I have a wireless mouse(not Bluetooth) and my PC only sees its transmitter.
you might try updating your sound device's drivers too.

I'm not sure if Androids can connect to a PC. I was basically using them to see if my dongle was detecting anything. My main priority is pairing my headset. And Turtle Beach's website states that you can connect to a PC by way of bluetooth.
